Art as care
Buying a piece of art is an act of self-care.
Gifting one is an act of care for someone else.
These are not just words to me — they are something I feel deeply.
Sometimes, when someone stops in front of one of my paintings and quietly says:
"This piece brings me peace."
or
"This painting makes me feel good,"
I know something meaningful is happening.
Those moments move me.
Because they speak to the very heart of what I try to express through my work: care.
Art as a Living Presence
I truly believe art has an essential role to play:
To soothe, to heal, to nurture.
And it’s not just for the one who creates.
It also reaches the one who observes, who feels, who lets themselves be moved by the piece.
Sometimes, simply standing in the presence of a work of art can reconnect us to something silent, essential, and deeply human.
A Story That Left a Mark on Me
A few months ago, a woman came to my studio.
She was going through a painful separation — one of those life moments where everything shifts.
Her identity, her values, her sense of direction were all shaken.
But she arrived with the intention to rebuild.
At that time, I was working on a new series — bold, large-scale pieces, very different from my previous work.
They were still in progress, unfinished.
She stopped in front of one of the canvases.
She looked at it quietly, for a long time.
And then she pointed and said:
"This one will be mine. It will carry me through this passage."
That piece became her companion.
A quiet anchor.
A presence she chose to walk beside her during that transition.
She kept it throughout her healing process.
And to this day, it marks the beginning of her new life.
Why I Create
Telling this story still moves me deeply.
Because it reminds me of something I never want to forget:
We all go through storms.
Some we can see. Others are entirely inside.
And if my art — even in a small way — can soothe, support, or accompany someone through theirs,
then that is the most meaningful reason I could ever have to create.
When Art Does Good
I believe art has this quiet power to bring us back to ourselves.
To our breath.
To our inner rhythm.
To our intuition.
To our silence.
That’s what I try to offer through each piece I create:
a space that’s sensitive, sincere, and alive.
